What is Contemplative Meditation ?
God is only too willing to communicate with us and whenever he finds an opening he will come to us.

Contemplative Meditation can be summed up very briefly by saying that you keep quiet and let God flow in. There is more to it than that of course - how to keep quiet and relaxed, how to let Jesus draw you into his Godhead, how to let your daily life develop under the influence of this divine inflowing. When the mind is quiet and the heart attentive, God gives spiritual light and love. After some time remarkable effects are noticed. You can cope more easily with the problems of life, you worry less, and you do your work better and enjoy it more. Sometimes there is an improvement in health. Above all, there is a new awareness of spiritual truths and God becomes your companion and your friend. (Ref: From the back of Fr Mathew McGeterick's book contemplation for modern men and women.)
